How long will my mistletoe last?
Mistletoe is a fresh plant similar to a flower. It is important
that it is handled appropriately. You should receive your mistletoe
fresh and in good condition. It is common for some of the leaves
to fall off during shipping, but this is normal (we try to put
enough in there so that it will still look good after shipping).
Also, if your sprig contains berries,
some may squish or fall off during shipping as well. That being
said, you should still receive your mistletoe in good condition.
Once you receive it, it's best if you carefully remove it from
the bag and hang it as soon as possible. Once hung, the mistletoe
will dry and remain intact and last through the holiday season
if left alone. If it is handled frequently, though, the leaves
may begin to drop off sooner.
In the bag, mistletoe is preserved fresh for a very short time.
Long enough for us to get it to you in good condition. In some
tests we've done, we've been able to keep it fresh longer in
a cooler environment (like the garage or fridge), but the results
are not consistent. We highly recommend hanging your mistletoe
within a day or two of receiving it.

When should I have my order ship?
The Postal Service says that Priority Mail takes 2-3 days; however, they don't consider it late
until after 5 days. Our experience is that most packages are delivered within 2-3 days, but on
occasion, we'll see one that goes 4 or even 5 days (usually to locations in the eastern US).
If you're concerned and want to be safe, be sure to ship 3-5 days before you need your mistletoe.
Your mistletoe will arrive fresh and last a couple days in the bag if kept cool. In general, don't
set the ship date too early. You don't want it sitting for a week after your receive it.

What can I do to keep my mistletoe fresh?
Keeping mistletoe fresh is a tricky
thing. The best thing you can do is have it delivered just before
you plan on hanging it or giving it away or selling it.
In the bag, the moisture of the plant can become a problem,
so storing it in a cool dry place can sometimes reduce the risk
of molding (though you shouldn't plan on storing mistletoe more
than a couple days). In some tests we've done, we've been able
to keep it fresh longer in a cooler environment, but the results
are not consistent. We highly recommend hanging or distributing
your mistletoe within a day or two of receiving it. When
placing your order, let us know what day you'd like it shipped
if you need it for a later date.
When removed from the bag, it begins to dry and should be hung
as soon as possible. Once hung it will dry, shrivel a little
(similar to a dried flower) and remain throughout the holiday
season.

If I need my mistletoe later or for
an event, when should I place my order?
You should place your order as soon
as you know you want to buy mistletoe, but we highly recommend
delaying the ship date. During the order process, include a
note regarding your event and when you'd like it shipped or
send us an e-mail. You should plan on receiving your mistletoe
no more than 2 days before you need it.
The following shipping methods are used:

-Express Mail is guaranteed next day in most places.

What is the Mistletoe tradition?
An age-old holiday tradition is to
hang mistletoe in your home over a door or a place people walk.
When someone is standing under the mistletoe, it's free game
to kiss that person. You'll often find some people standing
under it far too often. :) It dates back to an almost ancient
belief that mistletoe held the gift of fertility.

What about Mistletoe Berries?
Though some people think of mistletoe with red berries,
mistletoe berries are a transparent-white to slightly pink color
and appear on some mature bunches of mistletoe. The mistaken
thought of red berries probably comes from another popular Christmas
plant, holly, which does have red berries.
Are Mistletoe berries poisonous? Most of the information available
suggests that at least some types of mistletoe as well as holly
have poisonous berries. However, the question appears to be
debatable. If you are concerned about berries, remove them from
the plant before hanging.

berries, please let us know when you order, and we will do our
best to accommodate your request.

When will I receive my Mistletoe?
We will pick, prepare and ship your mistletoe
fresh; usually, shipments go out within 1-2 business days. Fresh
lots of mistletoe are picked a couple times per week. We'll
notify you when your mistletoe ships and provide you with any
details we have of your shipment. Shipping methods available
are found below.

Will my order have a tracking number?
Yes! Priority Mail and Express Mail both include tracking
numbers. We'll e-mail you the tracking info as soon as we ship
your item.

When is the latest I can order?
We will be taking and shipping orders as late as December
18th (or while supplies last) in order to get mistletoe to you
by Christmas. Order early for more fun! Orders later in the
season should consider expedited shipping options.

I need to change the shipping address. How do I do that?
If the address in your confirmation e-mail from PayPal is
incorrect, please e-mail us as soon as possible to let us know
the correct mailing address. It's as easy as that.
Please check your address carefully. Items ship to the address
given to us by PayPal at check-out unless you let us know. We
cannot refund or accept responsibility for orders shipped to
addresses given to us with no correction. Please be
thorough.
If you'd like items to go to multiple addresses, send us an
e-mail with details and we'd be glad to accommodate you.
